Welcome to Denbigh Farmhouse Ices.

Denbigh Farmhouse Ices was launched by Major Tom Smith in the 1960s. The ice cream was made at his beautiful Welsh farm just outside the town. Their distinctive Welsh logo has become synonymous with the best of Welsh cuisine.

In 1995 the impending retirement of Major Smith meant that change was inevitable, and a merger with 'Plas Farm' was arranged. Plas Farm Ltd had been built up by David Williams following the imposition of milk quotas in 1983. The synergy between Plas Farm's salads, soft cheeses and frozen yogurt and Denbigh Farmhouse Ices indulgent dairy ice creams was powerful and successful, and the new company was soon looking to move into new premises. By 1998 the entire production was moved to a food factory at Gaerwen, where the company is now based.

Denbigh Farmhouse Ices has a rich heritage in North Wales but the company's ethos has not changed. The milk is sourced from lush green pastures and all the products are made here in North Wales . The products are sold predominantly directly to the shops, cafes and restaurants of North Wales, although the taste of Denbigh's frozen yogurt is winning converts throughout the UK and Europe. This short distribution chain can make Denbigh's products surprisingly economical.
